Urania Petit | Luis Cotto | Dr. Larry Deutsch |
Hartford residents need a new, independent voice on the City Council, who will really stand up and fight for our issues.
And when the votes came in on Tuesday night, two of our the Working Families candidates for Hartford City Council, Luis Cotto and Dr. Larry Deutsch, emerged victorious. We have truly accomplished something remarkable.
While we're very disappointed that Urania Petit did not also win a seat, we are thrilled with our success.
Luis Cotto and Dr. Larry Deutsch are not the sort of politicians you'll hear from once every four years around elections. They've committed to fighting for the issues that Hartford residents care about it -- but to do it successfully, they'll need your help.
You'll be hearing from Luis and Larry soon. And you haven't heard the last from Urania either.
Tremendous thanks to all the institutions who supported us, and who we depend on, from community organizations to labor unions to progressive groups. And thanks to every voter who voted Row G.
Over the next few weeks, this website will transform into the website of the Hartford Working Families Party Town Committee, which is currently in formation. If you're interested in getting involved, email jolson@workingfamiliesparty.org
It all comes down to Election Day. And if we work hard, we can bring a new independant voice to the Council.
Working Families candidates are the only independent candidates endorsed by the Hartford Courant!
Ned Lamont has endorsed the Luis, Urania and Larry!
